What a coir fibre importer needs
The same fibre in every container. Blanket, felt and mattress lines are set to the length and moisture of the fibre; a lot that differs from the last one stops production. Every bale carries a lot tag and every lot has a report.
No shortage mid-season. The plant has capacity for more than 4,000 tonnes a year of coir pith and coir fiber; it processes dry husk from coconut groves on the Ceará coast and schedules production to the delivery date agreed with the buyer.
Direct with the plant. Specification, samples, lot reports and shipping all come from the plant that makes the fibre.
Salt controlled at the source. Dry mature husk from irrigated groves, never retted in brackish water, low-conductivity well water, EC per lot.

The fibre we export
Brown fibre from the mesocarp of dry mature coconut (Cocos nucifera L.), mechanically decorticated, screened and baled. Mixed/mattress type: not bristle, not curled, not twisted. The full parameter-by-parameter specification is on the coir fibre page.
Buyers use it for erosion-control blankets, coir logs, needle-punched felts and geotextiles, mattress pads and substrates.
How an export order works
- 1. Specification: length, moisture, impurities and packing agreed in the contract.
- 2. Sample: a sample from a production lot, with the lot report.
- 3. Production: scheduled to the agreed delivery date.
- 4. Loading: container stuffing and delivery to the Port of Pecém, FOB.
- 5. Documents: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and lot report; phytosanitary certificate as the destination requires.
The Port of Pecém is on the west coast of Ceará, in the same region as our plant in Paraipaba. Fibre goes from plant to port by road, within Ceará.
