What is drip irrigation?

Precision irrigation method that delivers water and nutrients directly to the root zone through emitters placed at each plant. Drip systems are standard in commercial greenhouse production using coir substrates, where controlled fertigation replaces soil nutrient cycling. Emitter flow rate, interval and duration are calibrated to the substrate’s water-holding capacity and drainage rate.
