What is coir dust?

Very fine particles (<0.5 mm) generated during fiber extraction. When present in excess, coir dust clogs aeration pores and reduces air-filled porosity below acceptable levels. Controlled sieving during processing removes dust to achieve target granulometry. Dust fraction is an indicator of processing quality.
