Coir pith compressed at 5:1 to 8:1 volume ratio for efficient transport and storage. Standard block weight: 5 kg (expands to approximately 70–75 liters when rehydrated). Compression reduces shipping volume dramatically: a 20 ft container holds 20–22 tonnes of compressed blocks versus 5–6 tonnes of loose pith. Blocks must reach <20% moisture before pressing to prevent mold during transit.
