What is the EC 1:1.5 extract?

Dutch standard analysis method for substrate EC. Substrate is placed in a standard pot, saturated with deionized water, equilibrated and the extract is collected by vacuum suction. Used by the RHP certification system. EC values measured by the 1:1.5 method are higher than those from the 1:5 method for the same substrate, because the extract is less diluted.
