What is circular economy?

Economic model in which waste streams become inputs for new production cycles, minimizing disposal and resource extraction. Coir is a natural fit for the circular economy: coconut husks are a byproduct of the coconut food and beverage industry, and spent coir substrate can be composted and returned to agricultural soils as organic matter. The circular narrative is increasingly valued by European buyers subject to sustainability reporting requirements.
