What is mattress fiber?

Shorter fiber fraction (typically 2–10 cm) separated during mechanical processing. Lower tensile strength than bristle fiber. Used for mattress fillings, cushion stuffing, insulation material and blended substrate products. In some markets referred to as “mixed fiber” or “fiber tow.”
