What is RPP (Responsibly Produced Peat)?

Certification for peat sourced under environmental and social sustainability criteria, including site restoration after extraction. Required by the Dutch Peat Covenant from 2025 for peat used in Dutch horticultural substrates. RPP certification does not apply to coir but is relevant context for understanding the competitive dynamics between coir and peat in EU markets.
