What is IBGE?

Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). Publishes annual agricultural production data through the PAM (Produção Agrícola Municipal) survey, which includes coconut harvest volumes by municipality. IBGE data is the primary source for estimating Brazilian coconut husk availability for coir production.
