What is ISO 9001?

International standard for quality management systems, published by the International Organization for Standardization. When applied to coir processing facilities, ISO 9001 certification ensures documented procedures for raw material receipt, processing, quality control, packaging and traceability. Some international buyers require ISO 9001 certification from their coir suppliers.
